PEGylated lipids product

Reported by cailynn johnson | January 16th, 2024 @ 06:08 AM

Polyethyleneglycol (PEG) is the most widely used polymer in the formulation of liposomes. The PEG groups are generally conjugated to the ethanolamine moiety of phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), such as DSPE-PEG2000-X. The single hydroxyl group of PEG lipid can be coupled with small molecule drugs, antibodies, and groups for click chemistry and thus formulates different functional liposomes. However, another kind of methoxy PEG is closed at one end and cannot be functionalized, which is commonly used in stealth liposomes. When injected into the body, liposomes with hydrophilic PEG chains will form brush-like barriers, which can reduce liposome aggregation and liposome-protein interactions and therefore increase the blood clearance time. Creative Biolabs provides PEGylated lipid products with multiple functional groups such as amine, thiol, folate, succinyl, maleimide, biotin, etc. The molecular weight of PEG chains is also selectable. You can also come to our custom lipid synthesis service for a customized liposome product, our expert team can always exceed your expectations.
